Micro-Needling Treatment Instructions
Before your Micro-Needling Treatment
- No Retin-A products or applications within 12 hours.
- No auto-immune therapies or products within 12 hours.
- No prolonged sun exposure to the face within 24 hours.
- Sunburned skin will not work. Please reschedule.
- No make-up. Please arrive with clean skin.
- Extreme breakouts may require a rescheduled appointment.
Immediately after your Micro-Needling Treatment
- You may look as though you have a sunburn for a few hours.
- Your skin may feel warm and tighter than usual. At most 24 hours.
- After 24 hours you may have slight redness in smaller amounts.
- Don’t use make-up for the first 24 hours. Then use clean brushes.
- Soothe your skin with over the counter 1% Hydrocortisone cream.
- Treat your skin gently for 3 days.
- Return to your usual skincare regime after 3 days.
- No “active skincare”: Alpha or Beta Hydroxy Acids, Retinol (Vit. A), Vit. C
- No tanning beds or direct sun for 24 hours.
- Avoid swimming for the first 24 hours.
- No strenuous exercise for 24 hours.
- Avoid sweating.
- Avoid gyms which typically have high bacteria levels.
For best results, please follow these suggestions
CLEAN
Make sure your hands are clean before you touch or wash your face. Use a gentle
facial cleanser and lukewarm water. Pat your face dry with a clean towel.
HEAL
Soothe and lessen skin irritation. Apply serum antioxidants to help heal your skin.
HYDRATE
Your skin may feel slightly drier than usual. Apply Hyaluronic Acid which hydrates skin and brings it back to perfect balance.
STIMULATE
You’re making healthy new skin cells. Apply peptides to encourage collagen regeneration.
PROTECT
Always wear sunscreen. After the treatment, it’s even more important to cover your skin with a broad spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen SPF 25+. Use a chemical-free sunscreen.
